We are working closely with local authorities to understand the circumstances. The safety and well-being of our students are the top priorities at Ysleta ISD, and we will be providing counseling services to any students, faculty, and staff members who request assistance.

**ORIGINAL STORY: EL PASO, Texas (KTSM)** — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Loop 375 West at Dyer on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Northeast El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
Police alerted the media just before 1 p.m., reporting that they had responded to the crash and closed the area on Loop 375 West at Dyer. Traffic was redirected to exit at Railroad.
Our crews on the scene confirmed that a person died at the location. The Crimes Against Persons unit is currently investigating the incident.
As of 8:10 p.m., TxDOT reported that all westbound and eastbound lanes of Loop 375 West at Dyer have reopened.
